CAN I TAKE A TOUR OF THE V.I.PET RESORT?
You can take a tour of our Resort anytime during our lobby hours. We have an "Open Door Policy" so you do not need to make an appointment! Lobby Hours are Monday-Friday 8:00-6:30 and Saturday-Sunday 10:00-4:00.
WHAT VACCINATIONS DOES MY PET NEED TO STAY WITH V.I.PET RESORT?
Dogs: Rabies, Bordetella & Distemper. The Bordetella has a 10 day wait period from whenever it is given (even when updated) so please plan accordingly. This wait period is important for the health and safety of your pet.
Cats: Rabies & Distemper
CAN I BRING MY OWN FOOD?
We do recommend you bring your own food to keep your pet on his/her regular diet. Please bring food in Ziploc bags – it is easier for us to store in our kitchen!
CAN I BRING MY PET'S BLANKET, BEDDING OR TOYS?
In order to maintain a flea and tick free environment, we can not take bedding and blankets from home. We do provide comfortable bedding and blankets for your pet’s comfort.
Any toys and treats are welcome!
IS THERE A MINIMUM AGE FOR BOARDING MY PET?
We do not have a minimum age requirement. Your pet has to be old enough to be up to date on all boosters of puppy/kitten vaccines, including the Rabies vaccine.
DOES THE V.I.PET RESORT HAVE ANY BREED RESTRICTIONS?
No, we accept all breeds, however, any breed over 60 lbs is required to do a free day care trial day prior to boarding. We cannot accept breeds over 75 lbs. for the safety and comfort of your pet since we only have one size room at our Resort.
DOES THE V.I.PET RESORT ALLOW PETS WHO ARE NOT SPAYED OR NEUTERED?
We cannot accept unspayed females over the age of 6 months for your pet's safety as we do not have an isolation area. We can accept unneutered males, however, unneutered males over the age of 6 months must choose the private play option
CAN MY PETS STAY TOGETHER IN THE SAME ROOM?
Yes, as long as they live in the same household, get along well, and do not have food aggression. There is a discounted rate for pets sharing a room.
WHAT ARE THE HOURS OF OPERATION?
We are open 7 days a week! Our lobby hours for pick up and drop off are Monday-Friday 8:00-6:30 and Saturday-Sunday 10:00-4:00. These are the same hours if you’d like a tour!
HOW DO I MAKE A RESERVATION?
IS THERE A VET ON-SITE?
The VIPet Resort uses two local vets that are nearby if needed. They are Sand Lake Animal Hospital and Dr. Phillips Animal Hospital.
CAN THE V.I.PET RESORT ADMINISTER MEDICATIONS?
We administer all oral and topical medications. We do not administer injected medications.
DOES MY PET GET TO PLAY AT THE V.I.PET RESORT?
Yes! Your dog will enjoy plenty of group playtime with dogs of the same size and temperament. If your pet prefers people, we offer private play sessions with staff.
Cats get two play sessions in their play area individually (or together if in the same family).
All play options are included in the boarding rate!
WHAT SHOULD I BRING SUMMARY?
- Bring your vaccination records! You can also email or fax records ahead of time so there are no surprises at check in!
- Bring your paperwork that we will email to you at time of reservation. If you cannot receive this via email, please allow time at check-in to fill out the forms needed to properly care for your pet.
- Bring your pet's own food to keep him/her on the same diet. Please bring food in ziploc bags as it is easier for us to store!
- Dogs MUST be wearing a collar or harness at all times. No choker type collars please!
- We do provide comfortable bedding and bowls so please travel light. We do not accept beds from home.
- Toys and treats from home are always welcome!
